Probate

Probate is the legal court process when a person passes away with a will or intestate which is dying without leaving a valid will or any plan at all. We guide you through that legal process.

The loss of a loved one brings enough challenges without the added burden of navigating the legal system alone. At Han Oak Legacy Law, we are committed to providing knowledgeable, compassionate representation throughout the California probate process, helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Probate is the legal process of administering a deceased person's estate, which may include validating a will, paying outstanding debts and taxes, and distributing assets to beneficiaries or heirs. When a valid will is in place, the estate is administered according to the decedent's wishes. If no will exists, California law determines who will inherit the estate.

While probate is sometimes unavoidable, proactive estate planning can often simplify or reduce the process. Establishing a comprehensive estate plan, including a will or trust while you have the legal capacity to do so, can help protect your loved ones, preserve your assets, and ensure your wishes are carried out as intended.
